Obon Festival 

The Watsonville Buddhist Temple will be hosting its annual Obon Festival from noon to 5:30 p.m. Japanese food, kids’ games, live music and merchandise sales will all be a part of the celebration, which honors the spirits of one’s ancestors and Japanese culture.

St. Patrick’s International fest

The Watsonville City Plaza will welcome the St. Patrick’s International Festival from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Food, fun, games, prizes and live music from Cadetes de Rigoberto Cantu, Backyard Blues, Nyreay and more.

Watsonville Superhero Bike Party

Come down to Watsonville Cyclery, 25 East Fifth Street, at 6:30 p.m. to join the bike community in brightening up the streets. Wear your superhero outfit and come decorate your helmets and make your masks. The ride to Callaghan Park begins at 7 p.m. and a free outdoor movie, Captain Underpants, will follow at the park.
