SANTA CRUZ — A Santa Cruz man was arrested Friday for allegedly attempting to have “inappropriate and unlawful” contact with a juvenile under 16, the Santa Cruz County Sheriff’s Office announced via Facebook.
Bill Pennino, 55, was charged with lewd and lascivious acts with a child, contacting a minor with the intent of having sex and annoying or molesting a minor under 18. He was booked into Santa Cruz County Jail in lieu of $50,000 bail, jail records showed.
The arrest came after an investigation that lasted for several months.
