Video footage and evidence recovered on the ground is supporting the idea that Iran accidentally (or intentionally) shot down Ukrainian flight 752 with 176 people on board, killing everyone, earlier this week. The jet had just had lifted from the airport in Tehran. One video shows a sudden fireball open up in the night sky seconds after takeoff. There were 63 Canadians, among others, aboard. When asked if it were possibly mechanical failure, President Trump told a White House briefing, “I personally don’t think that is possible, personally.”

I ran into my friend Todd Farr of the City of Watsonville Parks and Community Services at Pinto Lake City Park Friday. He was working on repairing a water fountain whose lines had become clogged. The fountain, according to a brass plaque, was built in 1969.
