Watsonville Brillante, a multiphase mosaic outdoor project headed up by Watsonville artist Kathleen Crocetti, is moving forward. It features massive installations now on three sides of the Watsonville Civic Plaza’s six-floor parking structure. The project has been in the works for years and was approved by the Watsonville Parks and Recreation Commission and the Watsonville City Council. The mosaic pieces are being fabricated by volunteers at the Muzzio Mosaic Art Center on Front Street. The unveiling is expected in late May. The overall project will eventually cover 12,500 square feet.
