Aromas Road has been shut down since 11:30am Friday when a huge eucalyptus tree crashed to the pavement. The tree crushed a parked Infinity sedan and damaged a parked Honda SUV. Power is out in the area, said resident Victor Kraft, whose Infinity was totaled. “It sounded like an earthquake,” he said. No injuries were reported. The tree also tore down utility poles, power lines and numerous communication lines. It has also trapped residents at one home on the 200 block of Aromas Road as wreckage blocks a driveway gate. According to PG&E, 39 customers are without power. Aromas Road remains closed in both directions on the 200 block as of 2:30pm.
