Watsonville Police collect evidence Wednesday morning on Riverside Drive where a man crashed a stolen Honda sedan into a building following a pursuit that started in Aromas. According to police radio traffic, San Benito County Sheriff’s deputies called for assistance from Watsonville Police as they chased the Honda, driven by a man in his mid-30s, west on Riverside Road toward Watsonville around 8:45am. As the Honda sped into town, WPD officers deployed a spike strip and flatted two tires on the Honda. The suspect, however, continued driving west on Riverside, and then crashed into the side of an apartment building on the 100 block of Riverside. There, police deployed a Taser in order to subdue and arrest the man. No other information was available.
