Police prepare to rush into a home on the 100 block of Arista Lane Friday where a man reportedly broke into the occupied home. George Rivera, commander of the Santa Cruz County Anti Crime Team, said residents reported someone entering their two-story home around 2 p.m. Watsonville Police were assisted by SCCACT and members of the Gang Task Force in surrounding the home. After calling several warnings through the open front door, police, aided with a K-9, charged in but did not locate a suspect. The residents, huddled in a bedroom, were not harmed. Rivera said it appeared that someone had entered the home, but must have left the area by the time police arrived.
