Carrie Mayo, a longtime resident of Watsonville passed away suddenly July 1, 2017. She was born in Watsonville on December 23, 1953, to Joe Fontenot and Earlene Carson Fontenot.
Carrie retired from the Pajaro Valley Unified School District in December of 2015, after twenty years of service.
Carrie is survived by her husband, Mike; son, Darrell, both of Watsonville; three siblings, Becky Garcia of Thousand Oaks, Jolene Phillips of Santa Cruz, and Jeff Fontenot of Bradley; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, August 12, 2017, 1:00 p.m., at Mehl’s Colonial Chapel. The service is open to all of Carrie’s family and friends.
