WATSONVILLE — Carolina Macias died at Dominican Hospital on Saturday, June 17, 2017 surrounded by her family. She was 62.

She was born to Catherine and Juan Carmona in Brownfield, Texas. They moved to Victoria, Texas during her childhood. Later they moved to Watsonville where she was a resident for the last 58 years. She was an avid Raider fan. She loved to spend time with her family and listen to Tejano music. She also enjoyed bowling and fishing.

She is survived by her husband, Javier, of 43 years; children, Julie Macias, JR (Jessica) Macias, Angelica(Fabian) Hernandez, Mark (Ivy) Macias, Daniel Macias, Jordan Macias, Crystal Macias; siblings, Pat Carmona, Ernest Carmona, Sylvia Carmona, Rosa Carmona, Raymond Carmona, Leonard Carmona, Mary

Ramirez, Anabel Hernandez, John Carmona, Roger Carmona and Doro Moya. She was preceded

in death by her son, Jr. Macias.

Visitation will take place at Ave Maria Memorial Chapel on Wednesday, June 21 from 5-9 p.m. A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, June 22 at 10 a.m. at St. Patrick’s Church, followed by a burial at Pajaro Valley Memorial Park.
