APTOS—An Aptos man died on Nov. 11 from injuries he suffered in a two-car crash on Nov. 5 on Freedom Boulevard.

California Highway Patrol officer Sam Courtney said the 69-year-old victim was traveling north on Freedom Boulevard south of Valencia Road in a 2010 Dodge Caravan.

At 5pm a 64-year-old Watsonville man, driving a 1999 Ford E150 van, made a left turn directly in front of the Caravan from the southbound lane of Freedom Boulevard toward Valencia Road.

The Caravan driver was initially taken to Santa Clara Valley Medical Center and then to Mills Peninsula Hospital where he died due to complications related to his injuries, Courtney said.

The victim’s name has not been released.
