Watsonville Fire Capt. Matt Ryan (right) and other firefighters help size up a fire that broke out on the second floor of a home at 129 Landis Ave. Thursday. Capt. Kirt Vojvoda said the fire started in the second floor of the home around 4:40 p.m. The home was safely evacuated with the aid of Watsonville Police. The American Red Cross was called to the scene to help find shelter for 10 people that were displaced. The cause of the fire is still under investigation. No injuries were reported.
