Watsonville Police Sgt. Donny Thul leads a pack of runners on his motorcycle Sunday at the start of the fourth annual Never Forget Relay in Aptos at Nisene Marks State Park. Thirty-eight teams of four took part in the memorial event that recognized officers that lost their lives in the line of duty in Santa Cruz County. Officers and their families filled Aptos Village Park for a day of festivities on top of the relay that included an afternoon barbecue lunch.
