On December 13, 2017, Mac Wafford passed away at the age of 63. He leaves behind his wife, Debbie Wafford of 45 years. Together they have a son Eric (Kim) Wafford from Watsonville and daughter Erin (David) Camphouse who live in Grants Pass, Oregon. Four Grandchildren Orey (Jenna) & Ezra Wafford, Shasta & Trinity Camphouse.
Mac was born in Coalinga, California on September 24, 1954 to Orey “Butch” and Guyeline “Johnny” Wafford. Orey worked for PG&E traveling up and down the coast of California. Mac lived the first part of his childhood traveling in an Edsel while towing a travel trailer in which they lived, staying at various PG&E campgrounds. They eventually settled in Aromas, California where he attended Aromas Elementary School and graduated from Watsonville High in 1972. Mac worked for various companies in his life, included working for PG&E, driving a truck for Hildebrand and Sons, to estimating for Carmel Valley Septic. He ended his career working at All American Honda.
Mac’s passion in life was riding, working on, and selling motorcycles. One of the highlights in his life was riding his Honda ST1300 from California to Florida participating in Daytona Bike Week in 1995. He rode with close friends while making it an adventure all along the way! He and his wife Debbie enjoyed traveling in their motorhome across the United States visiting National Parks, monuments, and family. Mac loved to spend time with his grandchildren, whether it be attending sports or telling them stories about his wild and rambunctious childhood.
A private, Celebration of Life will be held on February 24, 2018. Mehl’s Colonial Chapel was entrusted with the arrangements.
