WATSONVILLE — Jo Drewry Anderson died on Thursday, June 15, 2017 after suffering a stroke. She was 88.

Born in Snowball, Ark., Mrs. Anderson moved to Watsonville as a young girl, attending Watsonville High School in the mid-1940s. She worked for Pacific Extrusion Company in Watsonville for 27 years.

She had known J.C. Anderson as a child in Arkansas. Their friendship was renewed in Santa Cruz, where they were married in October 1946. They had five children.

She was preceded in death 12 days earlier by J.C., her husband of 70 years; and children, Leon and Larry. She is survived by sons, Michael and Stephen; daughter, Jodi Frensley; 11 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and a great-great-grandchild to be born in July.

Services will be held on June 30 at 10:30 a.m., and will take place at Ave Maria Memorial Chapel, 609 Main St. in Watsonville.
