WATSONVILLE—Watsonville police on Thursday arrested a Watsonville man for a stabbing in late November that they say left his victim in critical condition.

Angel Fernandez

Angel Fernandez, 24, was charged with attempted second-degree murder. He was booked into Santa Cruz County Jail in lieu of $150,000 bail, jail records showed.

According to Watsonville Police Department spokeswoman Michelle Pulido, Fernandez stabbed a 21-year-old man in the area of Maranatha Drive on Nov. 30. The victim has since recovered.

Investigators believe the attack was a result of a personal dispute between the suspect and the victim.
