WATSONVILLE—The City of Watsonville on Sept. 26 will be hosting a Drive-Thru Ice Cream Social for older adults in front of the Watsonville Senior Center.

The event will run from noon-3pm at 114 E. 5th St.

RSVP by calling the Older Adults Services Supervisor Katie Nuñez at 768-3277 to pick up a free ice cream cone with various toppings.

Senior Center staff will be following social distancing practices to deliver ice cream and other goodies, Nuñez said.

“Prior to Covid-19 shutdowns, older adults were able to socialize with friends, have lunch and dance together at the Watsonville Senior Center,” Nuñez said. “For many participants, going to the Senior Center was an important part of the day. The City of Watsonville aims to provide older adults with activities and social events, even through a pandemic.”

For information, contact Nuñez at 768-3277 or at [email protected].
