SANTA CRUZ — A group of citizens is offering a $25,000 reward for information leading to an arrest in the kidnapping and murder of Santa Cruz County resident Tushar Atre.

The information must be received no later than Nov. 30.

Atre was kidnapped on Oct. 1 from his home on Pleasure Point Drive and found several hours later, shot to death in a remote area of the Santa Cruz Mountains. 

“Several people were involved in this murder and someone out there knows who they are. That is a terrible secret to keep,” said Santa Cruz County Sheriff Jim Hart. 

Investigators are continuously working to find those responsible for these crimes. No arrests have been made.
