James “Jim” Hagan died peacefully in his sleep on Thursday, Jan. 31, 2019 on his 75th birthday.

Mr. Hagan was born in Palo Alto and graduated from Cubberley High School. He worked for the telephone company for 34 years and retired in 1995. His passion was for cooking, music and horses. Many times Mr. Hagan and his wife Karen would take their horses to Jack Brook Horse Camp, in the hills above Pescadero, to ride the trails and camp out. He enjoyed watching sports and was always there, cheering on his grandkids in their various events.

He was very involved with his sons. He coached and managed many Little League teams in Salsipuedes for his boys as they grew up. He will be missed by his family, friends and those who knew him.

He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Karen; three sons, James, Greg and Kenny; two daughters-in-law, Michelle and Yvette; four grandchildren, two great-grandsons; sister, Lori; sister-in-law, Jeanne; and three nephews.
