Hunter Blinkenberg, St. Francis, (Sr.): Another one of St. Francis’ three-sport athletes who’s expected to compete this upcoming season in football, wrestling and swimming.

Blinkenberg will start on the offensive line and lead the defense as the middle linebacker. He racked up 76 total tackles, 2 and 1/2 tackles for loss, half of a quarterback sack, a forced fumble and a pass deflection last season.

In the winter, he’ll return to the wrestling team but it’s unknown if he’s going to compete again in the 145-pound class, where he placed seventh in the Pacific Coast Athletic League wrestling tournament and qualified for the Central Coast Section Championships.

Blinkenberg is also coming back to a swimming team that competed well in a tough Pacific Coast Athletic League Mission division.

The Sharks had their first-ever division champion in swimming as the 4×100 Free Relay team of Jesse Robinette, Jake Taylor, Lawson Orradre and Gio Garcia won a division race. The boys’ team placed fifth out of 10 teams in the PCAL-Mission.
